The hookah bowl is the component from which the hookah gets its well-known name "hookah" - because it is the part into which the water is poured. Also called hookah glass or sometimes hookah vase, it is the foundation of the hookah.
The glass base is also one of the most important design elements and influences the look of the entire hookah. From minimalist design to simple elegance to extravagant shapes and special cuts - no matter which look appeals to you most, with the right bowl you can put your hookah in the best light.

In addition to the appearance, the hookah bowl of course also has an important function for smoking. Because the glass base- or rather, the water it contains - ensures that the hookah smoke cools down, which makes it less irritating and more pleasant to inhale.
How exactly does it work? Quite simply:
By the way, the hookah glass is the first part of your hookah to show traces of dirt. So it's best to clean your bowl after every session - as annoying as it may be sometimes. Regular cleaning is the only way to prevent bacteria from developing in the humid environment.
Do you want to buy a hookah glass, but you are not sure which one is right for you? First of all, you should know what kind of glass base you need.
Basically, there are two different types of hookah glasses: screw-on glassesand plug-in glasses. As the names of the two already suggest, they differ purely in how theupstem is attached to the glass:
Are you wondering which is the better option? We think: pure matter of taste!
In the past, the big advantage of screw-in bowls was that their threads looked classier and gave more grip than the seals of plug-in glass bases. This may have been true at one time, but it is now history - thanks to our Moze Perfect Fit Glass Sealings fits the Stem Set on the plug glass just as well.
In fact, plug-in glass bases offer you even more advantages:
The most important factor to consider when choosing your plug-in glass is the size. Because plug-in glasses come in two different sizes:
Small Plug-in Glass Bases are usually suitable for hookahs with a height of up to 45 cm including glass, anything over 45 cm height usually needs a larger hookah glass. When buying, however, be sure to pay attention to the length of the dip tube of your hookah. Because this is ultimately the decisive factor for which pipe fits on which glass.

The hookah glass is the foundation of a hookah and the part into which the water is poured. The bowl is also an important factor for the look of the entire hookah and is available in different designs - from plain variants to high-quality Caesar Crystal glasses with special cuts.
There is no general answer to this question, because it varies depending on the size of the glass base used. Basically, however, you should always fill enough water into the glass so that the dip tube is 2 - 3 cm deep in it. However, be careful not to fill too much water into the glass, as this will make pulling more difficult and can result in water in the tube.
Too little water in the hookah makes it difficult to cool the smoke. This can make smoking a little more unpleasant. For the optimal hookah experience, the water level in your bowl should be so high that the dip tube is about 2 - 3 cm deep in it.
In principle, only water belongs in the hookah glass base to cool down and filter the smoke. Other liquids such as juice, milk or tea in the hookah are not only a waste of food, but also change the taste of the tobacco. However, there are dyes like xshisha that can be used to color the hookah water in the glasswithout changing the taste.
It is usually recommended to change the water in the hookah vase after each smoking session. This is because smoking causes deposits to accumulate in the water, which can impair the taste and contribute to the formation of bacteria.
To avoid deposits and the resulting unpleasant tastes and bacteria formation, you should clean the glass of your hookah after (or before) every hookah session. This is the only way to enjoy the full taste of the tobacco. By the way, this applies regardless of whether you have a screw glass or a plug-in glass base.
Yes, you can fill ice cubes into your hookah glass. The ice cools the smoke even more, which is especially pleasant in the summer. However, you can also get the same effect with less effort by using a cooling mouthpiece like the Ice Bazooka.
