The seal between bowl and hookah is probably one of the most important seals. However, this seal is usually only necessary for plug-in pipes. In this way, the smoke column/hookah is connected to the glass and sealed. The biggest danger with the bowl seal is that air can be drawn in here. How can I tell if I am drawing air from my hookah? Well, you can tell by the hissing sound at the base.
The hissing usually means that there is a leak here. This means that the smoke is not really dense and voluminous and the tobacco cannot develop its full flavour potential. This is not only annoying and no fun, but also consumes tobacco unnecessarily. You should therefore place a high value on good seals. › Here you can find more information

This is not quite so easy to answer, as all seals that are suitable for Plug-Hookahs and Plug hookah glasses always serve their purpose in some way. It depends more on the workmanship, durability and fit. For example, some seals are suitable for wider bowl openings, while others only fit plug glasses with a very precise measurement of 45 mm.
The problem with this is that glass is usually handmade and with such manufacturing processes it cannot be guaranteed that the dimensions are always 100% the same. In such cases, you realise what quality gaskets are all about! They can adapt to different openings and always provide the optimal sealing function.
