Caesar glass bases: exclusive models at Moze

Caesar Crystal Bohemiae is the leading Czech manufacturer of vases, glassware and more made from lead crystal. Among other things, Caesar also produces plug-in glass bases for hookahs. The quality is on another level, and you can see it in the designs, shapes and cuts.

Lead crystal from the Czech Republic

Lead crystal behaves differently from ordinary glass. When light hits the glass base, the full spectrum comes out, and you get a brilliance no other glass base gives you.

The production is its own story too. The crystal glass contains 24% lead oxide and is made from silica sand, potash and limestone. The colours come from melting different metal oxides. Caesar Crystal Bohemiae was the first glassworks ever to receive the "Czech Made" certification, which stands for quality and specialised production methods.

What variants are there?

Caesar glass bases are well known and well liked in the scene. The choice of colours, shapes, cuts and sizes is huge. There is Clear, meaning transparent glass, single-coloured glass such as black or blue, and two-tone or even three-tone combinations of clear plus another colour. On top of that come the different cuts and shapes. That is exactly why you will find a glass base here that fits the overall look of your hookah.

Large glass bases

Large Caesar glass bases are around 26 cm tall and are made for most medium and large hookahs. They work well with the Moze Sphere 2, the AMOTION FUTR and the Moze Varity.

Small glass bases

Small Caesar glass bases measure around 19 cm and are designed for compact plug-in hookahs. That includes the Moze Breeze Two and the Moze Varity in its shortened version.

Developed exclusively for Moze

Together with Caesar Crystal we developed our own glass bases that are available only here. That includes the Moze Shapes as well as the Trunk and Arc shapes. The collaboration also produced our own cuts: the classic Fan Cut, the Wild Cut, the Ice Cut, the Deep Cut and the Mars Cut. Alongside these come further models from the regular Caesar range.

How do the names work?

At first glance the names look clunky, but there is a fixed system of four parts behind them: manufacturer, size, shape and cut, plus the colour. An example:

Caesar Crystal Small Cone Hoarfrost Down Clear

Caesar Crystal is the manufacturer, Small is the size (Large stands for the big glass bases), Cone is the shape, Hoarfrost Down is the name of the cut and Clear is the colour. On some glass bases the cut follows straight after the size. In that case you are looking at a glass base in the Moze Shape, for which we did not assign a separate shape name.
