Many problems can be fixed quickly and easily yourself. Select what applies to you.
Power supply makes noises
If the power cable makes noises, there may be a defect. In that case, stop using it to avoid further damage.
Solution: Stop using the power supply and fill out the warranty claim form.
Molasses or moisture on the contact points
Check the contact points on the XKAH Lite body and on the XKAH Lite head element. Molasses or liquid in this area prevents the device from starting.
Solution: Clean the contact points thoroughly and dry them completely, so that no molasses or liquid remains.
Your XKAH Lite still doesn't start? Then please fill out the form and describe your problem as precisely as possible.
XKAH Lite Warranty ClaimDevice starts and then simply switches off
Check your XKAH Lite for dirty or damp contacts and check whether your power supply makes clicking noises.
Ring flashes red 3Ă—
Try starting the preheat again. In many cases the process runs normally on the second attempt.
Device restarts in the middle of preheating
Make sure the XKAH Lite head sits fully and flat on the device.
Ring flashes red 6Ă—
If the ring flashes six times when you try to start a mode, your XKAH Lite is telling you that the XKAH head or the heating plate isn't seated on the body at all or isn't seated correctly.
Solution: Check the seating of the head element, inspect the contact points for liquids and molasses, and place the heating plate or head element back onto the XKAH Lite body.
Device switches off during the preheat phase and doesn't restart
Check whether your cable is seated properly and whether the power supply makes noises. There may be a minor defect in the power supply.
Does the problem persist? Then write to us via the form so we can help you as quickly as possible.
XKAH Lite Warranty ClaimPod build and tobacco
The tobacco should be packed loosely and fluffily into the pod – less is more. Stir it well first, then let it fall loosely into the pod without packing it down. Afterwards, spread it lightly into the lower corners using the pointed side of your XKAH fork.
Pro tip: Form a small hole in the tobacco in the centre of the pod. This lets the air flow through even better and the tobacco develops a little more flavour.
Dirty pod or device
Keep your XKAH Lite clean on a regular basis, as recommended by the manufacturer. You'll find our detailed cleaning guide on our blog and on YouTube.
Wrong or leaking seal
Only use the XKAH seals supplied. The connection between the XKAH Lite and the hookah has to be 100% airtight – otherwise the result suffers noticeably.
No result despite cleaning and a suitable seal? Then there may be a defect.
XKAH Lite Warranty ClaimMolasses beneath the heating plate
If molasses sits under the heating plate inside the XKAH Lite head, light smoking can occur after starting a session. The cause is the leftover molasses burning.
Solution: Clean this gap as well, using a flattened cotton swab. A dry run also helps with taste and smoke: run the XKAH once at the highest heat setting without a pod. This is worth doing in between after several sessions.
Heat management and settings
Check your heat settings and smoke Virginia tobacco in the range of 260–270 °C and dark blend tobacco at 290–305 °C. More information will follow soon in our XKAH Guide.
Burnt taste still there despite cleaning and the right temperature? Then there may be a defect.
XKAH Lite Warranty ClaimLock feature accidentally activated
If you turn the dial and the settings don't change, you've probably locked your XKAH Lite accidentally with the lock feature.
Solution: Press the middle button twice in a row, then press and hold the middle button until your XKAH makes a sound – so 2× middle button, then hold the middle button once until the beep.
Can't unlock your XKAH Lite this way? Then please write to us via the form.
XKAH Lite Warranty ClaimMany problems can be fixed quickly and easily yourself. Select what applies to you.
Contact points are dirty
The battery is fully charged and inserted, but the XKAH Pro doesn't respond? In most cases the contact points on the underside of the battery are dirty and the device doesn't recognise the battery.
Solution: Gently rub over the contact points with a cotton swab. Reinsert the battery, press the start button five times – done.
Battery doesn't click into place properly
First check whether there is any tobacco residue on the underside of the battery or inside the device. The underside of the battery has to be completely smooth and clean.
If the battery still doesn't lock in, there's a mechanical problem – in that case the warranty applies. With a second battery or device you can test beforehand whether the problem lies with the battery or the device.
Ring of Death
Is your XKAH Pro glowing red permanently and can no longer be used? Then it's the so-called "Ring of Death" – a defect you can't fix yourself.
Nothing helped, there's a mechanical defect, or your XKAH Pro is showing the Ring of Death?
XKAH Pro Warranty ClaimPod build and tobacco
The tobacco should be packed loosely and fluffily into the pod – less is more. Stir it well first, then let it fall loosely into the pod without packing it down. Afterwards, spread it lightly into the lower corners using the pointed side of your XKAH Pro fork.
Pro tip: Form a small hole in the tobacco in the centre of the pod. This lets the air flow through even better and the tobacco develops a little more flavour.
Dirty pod or device
Keep your XKAH Pro clean on a regular basis, as recommended by the manufacturer. You'll find our detailed cleaning guide on our blog and on YouTube.
Wrong or leaking seal
Only use the XKAH Pro seals supplied (two sizes available). The connection between the XKAH Pro and the hookah has to be 100% airtight – otherwise the result suffers noticeably.
Fahrenheit instead of Celsius
If you think your XKAH Pro no longer heats properly, check whether your device has switched from °C to °F. You can see this in Custom Mode in the temperature setting. If it shows 262 °F, for example, that's only 128 °C – which can be the reason for barely any smoke development.
Solution: Go to Custom Mode and, in the temperature setting window, hold down the two outer buttons of your XKAH Pro until the display switches back to °C (Celsius).
No result despite cleaning and a suitable seal? Then there may be a defect.
XKAH Pro Warranty ClaimReinsert the battery
Remove your battery and put it back in. In most cases the screen responds normally again afterwards.
Does the problem persist or occur more frequently? Then use our XKAH Pro warranty claim form.
XKAH Pro Warranty ClaimPod build
If there's too much tobacco in the pod, it can't be heated as well and the air can no longer flow through the pod properly. Build the tobacco loosely and fluffily – less is more.
Fahrenheit instead of Celsius
Check whether your device has switched from °C to °F. You can see this in Custom Mode in the temperature setting. If it shows 262 °F, for example, that's only 128 °C.
Solution: Go to Custom Mode and, in the temperature setting window, hold down the two outer buttons until the display switches back to °C (Celsius).
Tobacco type and temperature
Note the correct temperature for each type of tobacco: Virginia tobacco is smoked at a lower temperature (260–270 °C), dark blend tobacco at a higher temperature (280–300 °C).
Nothing helps? Then there may be a defect.
XKAH Pro Warranty ClaimCharge fully before every session
Don't start with a half-full battery – that way the full runtime is available to you.
Avoid deep discharge
Never let the battery run down to zero and don't store it discharged for longer periods. This permanently reduces the maximum capacity.
Watch for the battery signal
The device signals a low battery level with three short beeps – charge or swap the battery in good time.
Tip: A second XKAH Pro spare battery is worth it – simply swap it out and recharge the empty one at your leisure, without interrupting your session.
Battery draining quickly despite proper care? Then there may be a defect.
XKAH Pro Warranty ClaimVisibly broken part
Is your hinge, your XKAH Pro bottom part or another part of your XKAH Pro visibly broken? If your XKAH Pro is still within the one-year warranty period, please fill out the XKAH Pro warranty claim form. Send us a clear photo of the break so we can process your request quickly.
