If you've ever been to a Russian hookah bar, you've probably noticed one thing: You will find almost not a single Shisha Phunnel. In Russia, it is common to smoke shisha with multi-hole heads in combination with a smokebox. Recently, this setup has also become more and more popular in Germany and we offer a wide selection of different multi-hole heads in our hookah store, so you can get the feeling of a Russian hookah bar at home!
What makes the Sheeshaya Hyphen Phunnel so special?
The price of the Sheeshaya Phunnel is higher than the average prices of shisha bowls on the market. However, there is a good reason for this: the models are all handmade in Germany and extremely high-quality materials are used. The clay used is particularly dense and is fired at over 1250 degrees Celsius. This prevents gaps in the clay almost completely, so that no molasses can penetrate here, which would lead to the hookah bowl bleeding. In addition, the glazes are very thick, which also prevents molasses from penetrating the clay material!
✔️ Good to know: The bleeding of the tobacco bowl refers to the effect that the molasses of the hookah tobacco leaks out of the bowl during smoking. The reason for this is that molasses from the hookah tobacco penetrates the pores of the clay and slowly creeps to the outside of the head, where it eventually exits.
Using the Sheeshaya Hyphen tobacco head correctly - this is how it works!
As with all hookah phunnel models, the hookah tobacco is placed all around the hole in the tobacco deposit. You should fill the tobacco up to about the height of the rim. For the Sheeshaya Hyphen Phunnel, you need about 20.22 grams of tobacco to fill the phunnel.

Which attachment should I use for the Sheeshaya hookah bowl?
First of all, the most important note: The Sheeshaya Hyphen Phunnel cannot be smoked with a chimney attachment. You should either use a hookah smoke box or tank aluminium foil with this bowl.
✔️ Our recommendation is the ONMO HMD Smokebox. This is super beginner-friendly, but also suitable for professionals. It is also used and recommended by the biggest influencers in the hookah scene!
Besides the ONMO HMD, there are also other smokeboxes made of aluminium, such as the AO HMD Sandblasted or the Kaloud Lotus Smokebox! If you are looking for a stainless steel smokebox because you want to give off a little more heat to your tobacco, then the AO 912 HMD or the Na Grani HMD are a good choice!
If you want to enjoy your hookah tobacco with the Sheeshaya hyphen and aluminium foil, you can either buy armour aluminium foil in cut sheets or on a roll. You don't have to cut or tear the cut sheets to the right length, but they are comparatively more expensive than the aluminium foil on a roll.
