According to the manufacturer, it tested and compared almost 50 different traditional bowls from all over the world before starting development in order to analyse their advantages and disadvantages. The findings from this comparison formed the basis for creating a bowl with perfect properties.

Each individual bowl is made by hand from selected red clay from the Ural Mountains. The six holes in the bowl, which are specific to Cosmo, are designed to ensure both optimum air circulation and even heating of the tobacco.

In addition, the pores of the clay are sealed using a special milk firing process. This prevents the molasses from penetrating the head and the likelihood of a bowl starting to bleed is practically zero.

In eastern countries such as the Czech Republic or Russia, traditional bowls are primarily used for smoking, which has its origins in the fact that stronger darkblend tobacco varieties are mainly smoked there, which taste much better in traditional bowls. In our opinion, the strong tobacco varieties from Musthave or Darkside are an excellent choice for Cosmo Bowl bases. However, we have also had very good experiences with other darkblend brands such as Blackburn hookah tobacco or Theo tobacco.

What kind of attachment should a Cosmo Bowl hookah bowl be used with?

Cosmo Bowl bases are specially designed to be perfect for HMDs, so you can use the bases with all standard hookah smokeboxes. It doesn't matter whether you choose an aluminium or stainless steel version. For aluminium HMDs, we always recommend the ONMO HMD, as this smokebox performs best and is also the cheapest model. However, if you want to bring more heat to your hookah bowl and are looking for a stainless steel HMD, we can recommend both the AO 912 HMD and the Na Grani HMD. Both are identical in terms of performance and price. In contrast to the UPG traditional base, you can also smoke Cosmo Bowl bases with a classic hookah chimney attachment, although we definitely do not recommend this.

What is the best way to prepare a Cosmo Bowl?

The packing of a Cosmo bowl is relatively simple once you get the hang of it. It is prepared like any hookah traditional bowl. You need to let the hookah tobacco fall fluffily into the bowl so that the draught is not impaired by the hookah tobacco. You should also leave a small gap to the smokebox attachment. If you are using a smokebox with knobs on the bottom like the ONMO, light knob contact is a good guideline.
