Large hookahs and water pipes
For us, a large hookah is anything from a total height of about 60 cm, measured without the bowl. These models are popular above all with people who smoke on the terrace, in the garden or in front of the TV and rarely carry the pipe around.
Presence plays a big part in that. A large hookah stands out in a room. And if you are worried that bigger models smoke worse because of the longer air path, we can take that worry away: on many models you do not notice it in the draw at all.

What speaks for a large hookah
Because of the height, the smoke column and the downstem are longer, so the smoke cools down more on its way and feels more pleasant in your throat and lungs. Scratchiness happens less often than on very small models, though it is not ruled out: if the hookah tobacco in the bowl gets too hot, you notice that at any size.
