Which electric hookah systems are there?

Complete systems, meaning all-in-one devices

• Ooka: a compact system with pre-filled pods. Insert the pod, switch on, done. Very simple, though you depend on the matching pods and cannot easily smoke your favourite tobacco. Smoke and flavour sit below a normal hookah in our view.
• Ensō: also a complete system, but with pods you fill yourself. That keeps you flexible on tobacco. In terms of smoking behaviour it is not at the level of a normal hookah either.
• Gookah: intended as an upgrade to the Ooka, same idea with better smoking behaviour and freely fillable pods. It was developed by another manufacturer who liked the Ooka principle and saw room to improve. The draw is similar to the Ensō.

Want to keep your classic setup and still smoke without charcoal? Then an electric HMD fits. Put it on your existing setup, switch it on and go.

• Nevo: replaces charcoal, HMD and charcoal burner. All you need is your packed bowl, the electronics handle the rest. The Nevo runs on a cable, which makes it less practical on the move.
