alite Hookah: Stainless Steel Complete Sets

You might already know alite from our accessories, above all the brand's popular bowl, the alite Plot. Since summer 2025 we've also been releasing hookahs under the name. The idea behind them: a stainless steel hookah you can start using straight away and even expand piece by piece later on, without spending a lot of money.

The two models are called Swiss and Bash, and their designs originally come from Smokelabs. When Smokelabs stopped, we bought the rights to the designs and relaunched the hookahs under alite.

The key facts
  • Two designs, Swiss and Bash, each as a Lounge with one or a Squad with four hose ports
  • Every version comes as a Mini at around 37 centimetres or large at around 55 centimetres, in Silver or Black/Gold
  • Complete set with ONMO HMD, alite Plot, hose and mouthpiece
  • V2A stainless steel and glass, built-in molasses catcher, diffuser for quiet or loud

Swiss or Bash: a question of design

Technically, Swiss and Bash are built the same way. The difference lies in the shape of the stem, base and glass base. The Swiss looks simpler and cleaner-lined, while the Bash has more details and is a little more playful. On the large models the glass bases also differ: the Bash has an outer diameter of around 24 centimetres, the Swiss around 20.

Lounge or Squad: how many hoses?

The Lounge is a 1 Hose Hookah for smoking on your own or with one other person. Its blow-off sits in the base: three holes let the smoke escape straight up towards the charcoal tray. The Squad is a 4 Hose Hookah for a session with friends. All four of its ports are meant for hoses, a separate blow-off is only built into the Lounge.

Mini or large: how much space do you have?

The Mini models are 37 to 38 centimetres tall and fit into a small flat too, you'll find more models in this format under Small Hookah. The large ones stand 54 to 55 centimetres tall. They have a second stem section, a downstem extension and a taller glass base, everything else is identical. Because you can simply leave out the extra parts, you can also smoke a large alite as a Mini whenever you like. You'll find more tall models under Large Hookah.

What's in every alite set

All 16 versions come with the same accessories. After that, all you need is tobacco and charcoal, or you smoke electrically with an XKAH.

  • ONMO HMD: The HMD in silver, which is also available on its own under ONMO Smokebox / HMD.
  • alite Plot: A phunnel made of stoneware clay, produced in Spain. You'll find this beginner-friendly phunnel in our alite Hookah Bowl category, it's comfortable to pack.
  • Mouthpiece: Made of aluminium, designed specifically for the alite hookahs.
  • Hose and seals: A silicone hose and all the seals you need for setting up.

The features of alite hookahs

All alite models are made of top-quality V2A stainless steel and glass, which makes them sturdy and easy to clean. You'll find more hookahs made of this material under Stainless Steel Hookah. The glass base screws on as standard, but with a plug-in glass base adapter your alite can also be used as a plug-in hookah.
All hose ports and the bowl adapter have an 18/8 ground joint.

Underneath the bowl adapter sits a built-in molasses catcher. It holds a few millilitres and catches the first molasses before it runs into the glass base. Because the charcoal tray also sits on the stem via a ground joint, after your session you take off the bowl, tray and molasses catcher in one go and give them a quick rinse. You can screw the diffuser on the downstem in either direction: one way the alite smokes quietly, the other way you can hear it bubble.

Tip: The built-in molasses catcher is enough for short sessions. If you smoke several bowls in a row, simply put one of the larger alite glass molasses catchers on top.

Mix and match: your alite, your setup

All Swiss and Bash parts fit together, even across both designs, both sizes and both colours. So you can upgrade a Mini model with the large stem, put a Black/Gold stem on a silver base or swap the Lounge base for a Squad base. You'll find every single part, from the base and stem to the ball stopper, under Spare Parts, and a new glass base under alite Hookah Replacement Glass.

If you want to give your alite a more personal look, take a look under Extensions. There you'll find carbon hose ports, glass hose adapters, glass molasses catchers and twisted glass mouthpieces, each in Blue, Orange, Red, Turquoise and White, so you can colour-match everything. More glass models are available under Glass Mouthpiece. With the plug-in glass base adapter you can also use a Hookah Plug In Glass Base. Just unscrew the glass base, screw the adapter into the base and put a seal on it.

FAQ: alite Hookah

What is alite?

alite is our own brand for good gear at a very good price. It started out with accessories such as the alite Plot, and since summer 2025 there have been hookahs too, the Swiss and the Bash.

What is the difference between Swiss and Bash?

Only the design. The stem, base and glass base have a different shape, the Swiss is simpler, the Bash more playful. Technology, contents and features are the same.

What do Lounge and Squad mean?

The Lounge has one hose port and a blow-off that blows out of the base upwards towards the charcoal tray. The Squad has four hose ports for a session with friends, only the Lounge has a blow-off.

What comes with an alite hookah?

The complete hookah with glass base, plus an ONMO HMD, the alite Plot as the bowl, an aluminium mouthpiece, a silicone hose and the seals. All you need is tobacco and charcoal.

What are alite hookahs made of?

V2A stainless steel and glass. The included mouthpiece is made of aluminium.

Can I combine parts from different alite models?

Yes. All Swiss and Bash parts fit together, whatever the size and colour. Every single part is also available separately under Spare Parts, so you can upgrade a Mini with the large stem, for example.

Can I use a plug-in glass base?

Yes, with the alite plug-in glass base adapter. Unscrew the glass base, screw the adapter into the base, put a seal on it and you can use plug-in glass bases as usual.

How much does the built-in molasses catcher hold?

A few millilitres, which is enough for short sessions. If you smoke several bowls in a row, put one of the larger alite glass molasses catchers from the Extensions on top.
