Which materials are used for gold hookahs?
Most gold hookahs are made of V2A stainless steel, which lasts, does not rust and is easy to care for. The base is often crystal glass. Many models have an 18/8 grind so molasses catchers and other accessories fit.
Traditional hookahs are often made of brass. That is usually cheaper than stainless steel and feels classic and heavy, but it needs more care because it tends to build a patina. Brass can also take on flavour, which is a nuisance if you switch varieties often.
Which accessories make sense for a gold hookah?
Alongside the smoke column you want a silicone hose with an adapter, a matching bowl adapter and a clay bowl. A diffuser is handy too, because it dampens the bubbling and makes the draw easier.
What should I look for when buying?
Build quality, what is included and reviews. Quality models have a secure click system, a stable base and precise threads. Total height and the number of connections matter as well. On material: V2A stainless steel is tough, flavour-neutral and pricier, brass is cheaper and traditional but needs more care.
