A gas charcoal lighter is the right choice, especially when travelling, because electricity is scarce in many places. That's why this lighter is the perfect way to take your shisha to the lake, the beach or the next festival. A gas-powered charcoal lighter is also the right choice if you don't have the option of lighting the charcoal outside at home because there is no power outlet outside the flat or house.
We strongly advise against lighting the charcoal indoors, as the lighting process produces high levels of carbon monoxide. If you do this in your home, it can lead to severe headaches and nausea. › Find more information here
A gas charcoal lighter is usually more handy than an electric charcoal lighter, which is another advantage when it comes to taking the lighter with you when you want to smoke somewhere other than at home. The lighter works like a classic gas burner. Strictly speaking, this type of lighter is a hookah gas burner.
Especially if you usually only smoke hookah at home, it's a welcome change to just pack everything up and head out into nature to smoke a bowl. To make sure you don't forget anything, we have written a guide including a packing list for shisha smoking in nature. Of course, the packing list includes a charcoal lighter that runs on gas.
Good to know: The Amotion Roam Travel Shisha is of course the best choice, but you can also take any other hookah with you. However, a travel hookah like the Roam has the advantage that it is very small and handy and is therefore perfect to take along, especially with the travel bag.
Safety is of course an important issue whenever you handle flammable substances. For this reason, we have created a short guide for the correct use of the hookah gas lighter.
Important note: You should leave the gas cartridge in your charcoal lighter until it is empty, because if you screw the cartridge holder back on before the gas is empty, the gas will simply escape from the cartridge. This is because a hole is poked in the cartridge when it is first inserted into the lighter! So you should use it up completely before removing it.
