Due to the higher nicotine content, the Darkside Core Line is aimed more at experienced hookah smokers who have already had contact with Darkblend tobacco. In the beginning, you should rather use the Base Line hookah tobacco from Darkside and gain some experience with it. As soon as you are familiar with Darkblend tobacco, you should go back to Darkside's Core Line. Due to the higher nicotine content, the flavours are transferred better and you will notice a difference in taste. You will definitely enjoy it and know what real tobacco should taste like.
True darkblend fanatics swear by a multi-traditona bowl setup. It doesn't matter whether you use aluminium foil, a smokebox or other methods for heat management. The important thing is that the multi-hole head is built well. In Russia, the home country of Darkside, many hookah smokers say that the flavours are released better in the traditional bowl. But we are of the opinion that the Darkside hookah tobacco from the Core Line can also be smoked in the phunnel without any problems.
If you want to smoke the tobacco in a traditional bowl just like the Russians, we recommend a Voskurimsya Mumiya or a UPG standard traditional bowl. These are the heads that are also used by Darkside itself at events to introduce the hookah tobacco. You can also find these two bowlin our hookah shop. In Germany, however, the tobacco is often smoked with a setup of phunnel and smokebox. This also works wonderfully.
More and more brands are currently developing new shisha tobacco varieties that are based on a dark raw tobacco. In Germany, Hookain has launched Blaze, a successful dark blend. Besides Darkside, there are other Russian brands that are already available in Germany. These include Blackburn and Nasch, for example. If you like the Darkside Core Line, you should definitely give it a try.
