Depending on the manufacturer, the mixing ratios might vary slightly, but the principle remains the same.
For the glycerin, you should ensure that it has a purity of at least 95%. There is specially taxed glycerin for this purpose. Using other types of glycerin for this purpose is illegal according to the legislator, even though it is theoretically possible. Strictly speaking, the entire process of mixing without permission and outside a tax warehouse is illegal. Moreover, the produced Shisha tobacco must be taxed immediately after production. After the glycerin has had time to soak into the fibers of the tobacco leaves, you get 200g of smokable Shisha tobacco, which costs about half of what you would pay for directly usable Shisha tobacco. However, as the manufacturing process is illegal without official permission, we strongly advise against it. The responsibility and potential consequences of your actions are yours alone.
The majority of Dry Base tobacco varieties are based on Virginia tobacco. However, there are also a few Burley varieties.
In principle, any glycerin works for mixing Shisha tobacco as long as it has a purity content of at least 95%. However, the law mandates that only taxed glycerin specifically for this purpose may be used.
Only taxed glycerin may be used for the production of Shisha tobacco, even though using non-taxed glycerin would theoretically work.
Add about 135g of glycerin to approximately 65g of Dry Base. Then thoroughly mix the two components with a tobacco fork. After a resting period of at least 15 minutes, the tobacco is ready to smoke.
Some tobacco manufacturers say that 15 minutes is enough for the tobacco to be ready to smoke. However, it is a fact that the full flavor of Shisha tobacco only develops when the glycerin has the opportunity to fully penetrate the tobacco's cell structure. Therefore, we recommend a waiting time of at least 48 hours before consumption.
Honestly, not quite. There are many factors that influence the taste of a product. These include raw materials and production tools/conditions. Since both the flavors and the tobacco are the same, you can come quite close to the original, but you will not fully achieve the taste of the ready-to-smoke Shisha tobacco.
