As described above, the Vandenberg hookah bowls are made in Germany from high-quality materials. This makes the clay of the bowl enormously dense and no molasses of the hookah tobacco can penetrate the bowl, which means that bleeding cannot occur with the Vandenberg Phunnel.
Another special feature are the glazes of the Vandenberg Phunnel. According to the manufacturer, the different colours are not only there to create a different look, but are even supposed to influence the performance!
According to the manufacturer Vandenberg itself, the different glazes have different properties, so that they do not all behave the same when smoked. The variants with a matt glaze are supposed to store the heat longer and not give off as much to the hookah tobacco, which means that the session should run longer. The Vandenberg Phunnel with a shiny or reflective glaze are supposed to give off more heat directly and thus allow the hookah tobacco to be heated more. However, from our own experience, we can say that these effects are not extremely different and we therefore recommend simply choosing according to the appearance of the hookah bowl. So you can go by which of the Vandenberg bowls suits your hookah best.
Currently, there is the Vandenberg v1 and the Vandenberg v2. The v1 is very good for smokers who only have a hose connection connected to their hookah and want to smoke a long, tasty hookah. The v2 bowl has a larger tobacco deposit, which allows you to smoke a hookah alone, where you can even put on a second round of coals after the first set of hookah coals. It is also very suitable if you often smoke with your friends and have several hookah hoses connected to your hookah. Then the flavour is completely preserved until the natural coals run out!
Basically, the Vandenberg Phunnel is used like any other Shisha Phunnel. Due to the slightly more special shape of the tobacco depot, there are only small differences in the bowl packing!
As in any other phunnel, the tobacco in the Vandenberg hookah bowls is placed around the hole in the tobacco deposit. With the v1 model of the Vandenberg Phunnel, you just have to make sure that you leave a small margin around the outer edge of the depot. All popular hookah smokebox models fit the Phunnel models from Vandenberg. You can choose an aluminium model such as the popular ONMO HMD, the Kaloud Lotus or the AO HMD Sandblasted, as well as a stainless steel model such as the AO 912 HMD or the Na Grani HMD.
In addition to the HMDs, you can also use hookah armour aluminium foil to stretch over the phunnel and place the charcoal on top. However, you cannot use a chimney attachment on the Vandenberg bowl.
