Fog Your Life - The Innovative 3-Component System by Hookain
Hookain is one of the most popular brands in our shop, known for their intense Hookain hookah tobacco. Since their launch in 2019, they have seen remarkable success. In response to multiple government regulations, they quickly adapted and introduced alternatives that complied with both the TPD2 directive and the 25g regulation. With their experience from Fog Your Law and new taxation laws affecting all aspects of hookah tobacco production, Hookain has revamped their strategy and reintroduced Fog Your Life as a 3-component system. This allows customers to continue enjoying TPD2-free flavors without breaking the bank.
How Does the New Fog Your Life 3-Component System Work?
Previously, Fog Your Life involved purchasing a molasses mix and a "Base" tobacco, which users would combine to enjoy flavors that were not compliant with TPD2 regulations. However, due to increasing taxation on all aspects of hookah tobacco production, the old FYL system became too costly for consumers.
Now, the new Fog Your Life 3-component system functions similarly to Fog Your Law but eliminates the glycerin component. Only the pure flavors and base tobacco are sold by the manufacturer, while customers must source glycerin separately. This significantly reduces the price compared to traditional hookah tobacco.
Fog Your Life Guide – How to Prepare Your Hookah Tobacco
To ensure your tobacco tastes exactly as intended, follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
If you have never mixed a dry base before, it might seem complex, but don’t worry—it’s very simple.
- 70g of base tobacco (sold in 15g pouches in a 3-pack bundle). Choose between Hookain Base (a mild and sweet Virginia tobacco) or Nature Base (a well-processed but low-nicotine Burley tobacco with a rich, sweet taste).
- 1 Fog Your Life Aroma Shot
- 100g of glycerin
- A 200g-capacity storage container
- A hookah fork for mixing
Step 2: Prepare the Aroma Mix
Pour the entire aroma shot into a bottle, add 100g of glycerin, and shake the bottle vigorously for 90 seconds to achieve a homogeneous molasses mix.
Step 3: Prepare the Base
Open the storage container and add 70g of your chosen base tobacco.
Step 4: Combine the Ingredients
Pour the mixed molasses into the container over the base tobacco using circular motions to ensure even distribution.
Step 5: Mix Thoroughly
Use a hookah fork to stir the mixture for 3-5 minutes until fully blended.
Step 6: Wait
For the best flavor, let the mixture rest for at least 3 hours (for Hookain Base) or 24 hours (for Natural Base) before smoking.
Step 7: Enjoy Your Hookah!
After the waiting period, your hookah tobacco is ready to enjoy. If you like it, be sure to try different flavors as well!

Important! Tax Considerations for Mixing Fog Your Law & Glycerin
Mixing 2-component hookah tobacco like Fog Your Law with glycerin comes with tax obligations. By combining pipe tobacco with glycerin, consumers legally become manufacturers of waterpipe tobacco and must declare it to the relevant customs office. Why?
- Waterpipe tobacco is taxed higher than regular pipe tobacco.
- If you mix pipe tobacco with glycerin, you must report it and pay additional taxes immediately.
- Failure to do so is considered tax evasion, which can lead to criminal prosecution if discovered.
Additionally, locations used for the production or storage of taxable goods must be officially registered. Unauthorized production may also be considered a legal offense.
