Hookah brush - Make cleaning your hookah easier!
Your hookah gets dirty over time and simply washing it out with water is unfortunately only enough in the rarest of cases. The water runs into every corner of the parts, but it is simply necessary that you also scrub the parts to get them completely clean. Special shisha brushes are available for exactly this purpose. These hookah cleaning brushes are among the most important shisha accessories and are available for a small price. They are shaped so that you can reach and scrub every part of the hookah!
A distinction is made between different brushes, which can be used for different parts of the shisha. We have the right cleaning brush for each part of your shisha available in our shop.
Why do I need brushes for shisha cleaning? What advantages do they offer?
As described above, the hookah will unfortunately get dirtier over time if you do not clean it regularly.
Cleaning is a nuisance, but it has to be done, because if you neglect it, it will have a negative effect on the taste of your hookah when you smoke it. Another, and even more important, disadvantage is that the hygiene of smoking is significantly worsened. If you do not clean your hookah, mould can form due to the moisture in the individual parts and the ingredients from the hookah tobacco! To avoid inhaling mould, it is important to clean the shisha regularly with the help of cleaning agents and brushes. Unfortunately, it is not enough to simply run water through the individual parts, as this will not remove all residues. You have to mix water with shisha cleaner and then scrub the individual parts with a cleaning brush, because only the friction between the shisha parts and the brush removes the residues.
Advantages of regular cleaning summarised:
- No adulterated taste of your hookah tobacco
- No risk of illness from inhaling bacteria
- More beautiful optics, because the eye smokes with you
- No jamming of individual parts due to residues in the threads and connections
- Extending the life of the hookah
Which hookah cleaning brushes are there? Which of them do I need?
There are hookah brushes for different applications. The best known are the Shisha Bowl Brush and the Shisha Smoking Column Brush. Besides these, there are other brushes that are essential for thorough hookah cleaning. The following list shows all the hookah brushes that are available:
- Shisha Glass Base Brush
- Hookah Smoke Column Brush
- Hookah Smokebox or HMD Brush
- Hookah Hose Brush
- Hookah bowl brush
The name of the individual brushes already indicates the area of application, but there are also small differences, which we will explain to you in the following!
Glass base brush - This is how you get to every spot in your glass!
There are different models of hookah glass base brushes. The cleaning brush from the manufacturer Sinned is a kind of sponge on a flexible handle, so that you can bend the brush exactly as it needs to be so that you can reach every corner of your bowl. Another variant of the hookah glass brushes is the AO Bowl Brush Contour, which is characterised by long bristles, which means that you don't have to bend the brush too much to reach the hard-to-reach places in the glass base.
Smoke column brush - You can't get into the pipes of your hookah without this long brush!
Judging by the name, the hookah smoke column brush is only suitable for the smoke column. Strictly speaking, however, you can use this brush for all elongated pipes of your shisha. These are usually the pipe of the smoke column, dip pipes and also your mouthpieces.
Deposits collect in these pipes over time and you will be amazed at how it looks if you do not clean these pipes for a long time and then scrub them with a smoke column brush.
Smokebox or HMD wire brush - Remove stubborn and burnt-in tobacco easily!
After a few uses of your new hookah smokebox, you will certainly notice that the tobacco burns on the underside and it can no longer be scraped off so easily. If this is the case, you should get yourself a smokebox brush, as it makes cleaning the smokebox much easier.
However, you should note that these brushes are equipped with wire bristles and are therefore very sharp. The underside of your smokebox will be scratched in the long run. This is a bit unsightly at first, but you should be aware that the smokebox will otherwise remain dirty and the taste will also be distorted. Besides, you can't see the bottom of your HMD when smoking the shisha anyway!
In addition, stainless steel HMDs are more resistant and do not experience as much scratching as aluminium HMDs due to cleaning.
Hose brush - The hose is often neglected during cleaning!
There are also special brushes for your hookah hose, which have a very long movable rod that you can use to get through the entire length of your hookah hose to clean it! At the end of this long rod are nylon bristles that scrub the inside of your hookah hose.
The hose is often neglected when cleaning, but cleaning is hugely important as the hose can also pick up its own flavour over time, spoiling the taste of your hookah!
Head cleaning brush - Remove burnt tobacco!
If you want your hookah bowl to look like it did on the first day, you should get a hookah bowl cleaning brush. With this brush, you can easily scrub off burnt tobacco in your hookah bowl with the help of a little water. The bristles of the bowl brush are made of brass, which will not damage the glaze of your hookah bowl, as it is a very soft metal!
What else do you need for cleaning besides the hookah brushes?
In addition to the hookah brushes, you should also get yourself a hookah cleaner so that you can get all the parts of your hookah sparkling clean again! You can also find this in the Moze Shisha Online Shop. The impurities are first softened with the cleaner and water to make them easier to remove. We have explained exactly how you should use the cleaner in conjunction with the cleaning brushes in our Shisha Knowledge category in the article on shisha cleaning. Do something good for yourself, your health and your hookah and keep it clean!
