It should be clear to every smoker how important cleaners and detergents are for cleaning the hookah. If you always use water alone to clean the hookah, you will not be able to remove all residues and impurities in the hookah. This leads to bacteria or even mould forming in the parts of your hookah, which you then inhale during your next hookah session!
In addition, the taste of your hookah will be distorted and you will no longer taste the pure aroma of the hookah tobacco you are smoking. Hookah cleaning products are therefore indispensable if you want to use your hookah hygienically without hesitation!
When it comes to hookah cleaning agents, a basic distinction can be made between the cleaner in powder form and the liquid spray cleaner. Both are available from different manufacturers and all variants clean your shisha to the same extent.
Both cleaning agents can be used for all hookah components. So for your hookah stem, bowls, mouthpieces and even your phunnel. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you have to rinse the parts with clear water after cleaning them with the cleaner!
The cleaning powder is available, for example, from the brand AO. It is called AO Koka Clean Powder. One package contains 150 grams and is therefore suitable for about 30-50 cleaning processes. Of course, it depends on how much of the cleaner you use per cycle. We explain the correct use of the powder and the process of cleaning your hookah in our article on hookah cleaning!
When it comes to spray cleaners, there are also several brands that offer cleaners with which you can get your shisha and accessories sparkling clean again. We use Cleaner4Everyone, which was created by one of the most successful hookah content creators. We use it ourselves and are very convinced of its effectiveness. Simply spray a few squirts of the cleaner into the bowl or the other parts of your hookah, and follow up with lukewarm water and a brush to remove all nicotine and tobacco deposits!
Unfortunately, Shisha4Everyone's cleaner has been discontinued. However, the Loyal brand continues to produce the same cleaner. So you can still get the cleaner, but with a different label!
So what are you waiting for? You'll find all the necessary utensils to keep your hookahs hygienically clean in our hookah shop!
Water alone is usually not enough to remove all residues, nicotine deposits, and bacteria. A specialized hookah cleaner ensures hygienic cleanliness and prevents mold or unpleasant odors from settling in your pipe.
After each session, you should rinse your hookah with clean water. At least once a week, we recommend a deep cleaning with a specialized hookah cleaner to remove all deposits.
Hookah cleaners come in powder form and liquid spray cleaners. Powder cleaners like AO Koka Clean Powder dissolve dirt by soaking, while spray cleaners like Cleaner4Everyone are applied directly to the affected areas and rinsed off with water.
Both cleaners work very well. Powder cleaners are particularly effective for stubborn deposits, while spray cleaners are ideal for quick in-between cleaning.
Yes, most hookah cleaners are suitable for glass bases, stems, mouthpieces, and even bowls. It's essential to rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water after cleaning.
Yes, mild household items like citric acid or vinegar can be used for gentle cleaning. However, specialized hookah cleaners remove dirt and deposits more effectively without damaging materials. For Caesar glass bases, we recommend avoiding vinegar or citric acid, as the acid may cause small amounts of lead to leach from the glass.
Dissolve the powder in warm water, pour the mixture into the hookah parts to be cleaned, and let it soak for a few minutes. Then scrub with a brush and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
