According to the manufacturer, AINO hookah tobacco is unique, and we think there's definitely something to that! Firstly, the manufacturer impresses with high quality, and secondly, the various flavors offer intense and extraordinary taste experiences. In addition to the flavor, the tobacco from Osnabrück also scores with its excellent smoke production and heat resistance.
At the Shisha Fair 2023 in Frankfurt, the AINO Dark Blend tobacco was introduced under the brand for the first time, which is based on a stronger Burley tobacco. Previously, only Virginia tobacco blends were available.
Since February 2024, AINO pipe tobacco has been on the market, fulfilling the community's desire to once again purchase 200g tins of hookah tobacco.
AINO pipe tobacco is flavored dry tobacco that is not directly smokable in a hookah. Only by adding 135g of glycerin (at least 95% purity), carefully mixing both components multiple times, and allowing some time for it to settle, can you get moist hookah tobacco that can then be smoked in a hookah.
Initially, the manufacturer is releasing seven of its most popular flavors as pipe tobacco. What immediately stands out is that the newly launched flavors have different names than the already prepared-to-smoke varieties.
Even though the manufacturer retains the flavor, the new names are a clear indication that they aim to avoid confusion with the original product and that they want to avoid cumbersome or misleading abbreviations in the name, as was sometimes the case with AINO Dark.
We can only speculate whether this has to do with the manufacturer's ambitions to also introduce AINO Dark tobacco varieties as pipe tobacco. Nevertheless, the new names chosen by Shanti suggest which original flavor might be behind each pipe tobacco. But not only the names have changed. The design of the pipe tobacco line has also been adjusted and now gives us a stylishly minimalist impression.

But we also highly recommend all the other Virginia varieties from the brand. If you like the fruit or the flavor indicated for the tobacco, then the likelihood that you'll enjoy the corresponding tobacco from AINO is extremely high, as the flavors are just extremely well crafted by the producer!

AINO tobacco is designed for use with a phunnel bowl and a smokebox. According to the manufacturer, this setup yields the best results for the tobacco, a claim we can confirm based on our experience.
However, you can also smoke AINO Virginia tobacco in a classic setup with a clay bowl and heat management device. In this case, the flavor and smoke production are slightly less intense.

AINO is produced in Germany, more specifically in Osnabrück! Strict attention is paid to hygiene and cleanliness at this production facility, and only the best ingredients are used.
We cannot say exactly when new flavors will be released. However, the manufacturer always provides timely information about this on their own AINO Instagram profile!
