If you don't know Al Fakher, you're either a fresh newcomer to the hookah scene or have never heard of hookahs. The producer from the United Arab Emirates is pretty much THE big player in the international hookah market. Especially with its Double Apple Tobacco "The Double Crunch" and Al Fakher's Grape Mint Tobacco "Crystal Grapio," the brand is still very popular in the community today.
Due to the 25 g regulation and the development of dry base tobacco, Al Fakher has now also begun offering part of their range in the form of pipe tobacco. The launch is now with the Double Apple tobacco "The Double Crunch." The special thing about it is that the Al Fakher tobacco is sold in a 500 g bucket, making the dry base hookah pipe tobacco cost about half of a comparable competing product.
Al Fakher pipe tobacco is a flavored dry tobacco that cannot be smoked directly in a hookah. You must first add an appropriate amount of glycerin (at least 95% purity), and stir everything carefully several times. Only then can the tobacco be smoked. However, it is recommended to let the mixture sit for one to two days so that the full flavor of the tobacco can develop.
Initially, the manufacturer is releasing only its most popular flavor as pipe tobacco. We can only speculate whether this first flavor is a test balloon to explore the potential market for such a large quantity of tobacco. In any case, the amount of tobacco would be especially interesting for heavy users. Whether "The Double Crunch" will be followed by more flavors remains to be seen. But it would definitely be desirable.

The Double Crunch – Double Apple is one of the most popular and traditional flavors. In the "The Double Crunch" variant of Al Fakher, there's also an increased nicotine dose, which adds that special extra to this Double Apple tobacco when smoked and Crystal Grapio – Grape Mint also has a long history and a broad fan base. The flavor of Crystal Grapio is a worthy representative of this variety. Every Grape Mint fan should definitely treat themselves to a bowl of this Al Fakher tobacco.
Al Fakher tobacco works great in a phunnel with a smokebox, so we recommend this setup.
You can also smoke the dry base Virginia tobacco from Al Fakher in a classic setup with a hookah clay bowl and chimney bowl. In this setup, however, the flavor and smoke development are a bit less intense.
