Everyone has seen them before, the cool rings made of smoke. But how do they actually work and how can you learn how to make them? In this article, you will learn some tips and tricks on how to make, learn or even perfect your rings. So you can impress your friends at your next hookah session!
If you want to try out these tips straight away, it's best to light up a hookah. Good smoke production would be a great advantage here, but it doesn't necessarily matter which setup or which tobacco you use.
Darkblend tobacco as well as Virginia tobacco or tobacco substitute can be used here, but the tobacco should not be burnt or burnt through. In general, you can also practice with all hookah rings, the size is not important.
How to create the perfect rings of smoke.

There are generally two different ways of making hookah rings:
The "cough" technique
The jaw technique
It has to be said that the cough technique is a much more efficient and simpler method, but there are still some people who have mastered the jaw technique directly or want to learn it. You can definitely get cool rings both ways.

Close your windows and make sure there is no draught in your room. This is the only way to learn how to make smoke rings.
Simple smoke rings with the "cough" technique.
The same applies to rings: practice makes perfect. Once you have successfully shot your first rings, you can practise and improve this technique again and again with the help of the instructions.
First of all, make a kissing mouth with your mouth. It is important that the lips are pressed together for the next steps and not loose, as this is the only way to maintain the shape.
You form an "O" with your lips pressed together; it is important to check the shape in the mirror or with the front camera of your smartphone. The bigger you can make the "O", the bigger you can form the rings afterwards.
Now train your coughing, which is essential for this technique. First you cough normally and then you cough lighter and lighter until you really only have a minimal cough that is almost inaudible. The harder you cough, the faster the ring flies, so you can control the speed of the ring at the end. However, a slight cough is enough for the first few exercises as it makes practicing easier.
Simply place the tongue on the bottom of your mouth, where it stays best while you shoot the rings.
Now take a puff from your hookah and combine all the steps. You form the "O" with your lips pressed together and cough very lightly. The faster you cough in succession, the more rings you can shoot.
Now you can constantly improve and practise your technique. Try out different "O" shapes with your mouth and try coughing more or less strongly. You will soon notice how you can blow rings best.
The jaw technique - how the professionals do it!
This technique is a little more difficult than the "cough" technique and not as efficient, but you can still make some really cool rings.
First, form an "O" with your mouth, not pressing your lips together, but simply leaving them in their normal state.
Now you have to move your jaw upwards with a "snap", you can push your jaw slightly forward and try it this way. This usually requires a lot of practice.
You can simply leave your tongue on the floor of your mouth. If you are more advanced, you can even make the rings fly further with your tongue or with a slight cough. This means you can combine the "cough" technique and the jaw technique.
