Apart from natural nicotine levels, the washing process can also influence the strength of the tobacco. For example, Holster or Stral hookah tobacco is significantly lighter due to an intensive washing process, while a tobacco like ANDA, partially based on nature base, is noticeably stronger.

Virginia and Burley are often mentioned together, but they’re fundamentally different. One major difference lies in their curing process: Virginia is defined by its bright color and flue-curing, while Burley is air-cured and has a higher nicotine content.
