Why is that?
To achieve the best flavor in your hookah session, it’s crucial that the hookah tobacco is heated as evenly as possible and that the temperature in the phunnel does not fluctuate too much. Based on our experience, it is much easier to maintain these optimal conditions when using a hookah with only one hose connection.
The hookah phunnel and thus also the hookah tobacco are further heated with each draw from the hookah. This happens because the inhaled air heats up as it passes by the glowing charcoal. The supplied oxygen also fuels the embers with more energy, causing them to heat up further the more often and longer air is drawn. The hookah charcoal thus transfers even more heat to the tobacco via the smokebox. If multiple people take draws from a multi-hose hookah in quick succession, the heat builds up more rapidly, leading to a heat shock in the tobacco. Additionally, each person pulls differently, which further contributes to uneven heating of the tobacco.

A multi-hose hookah does have some advantages. For instance, when sharing a session with multiple people, you don't have to wait long for your turn, and passing the hose around is avoided.
To avoid passing the hookah hose and waiting, you could also prepare an individual hookah for each of your friends.
Comparing a multi-hose hookah with multiple single-hose hookahs, the former requires less cleaning and consumes less tobacco and charcoal, saving money. However, a downside is that everyone must agree on a single tobacco flavor. In contrast, with multiple hookahs, each person can enjoy their favorite tobacco flavor.
Generally, all multi-hose hookahs can also be used as single-hose hookahs. If you opt for a multi-hose hookah, you’ll still enjoy the benefits of a single-hose model while having the flexibility of multiple hoses.

We have long considered whether a screw connection has advantages over a plug connection. However, we believe there are hardly any. Some hookah smokers argue that a threaded glass base makes the hookah look more premium. This may have been true in the past when the seals used for plug hookahs were of low quality.
Thanks to Moze Perfect Fit seals, available in various colors in our hookah seals category, this issue is a thing of the past. All Moze models come standard with the Moze Perfect Fit seal in black or anthracite!
The AMOTION brand also uses Moze Perfect Fit seals in its FUTR model. These colorful seals are included in the standard package.
Another common concern is that the hookah may sit loosely in the glass base. However, all of our hookahs include two glass base seals with different diameters, one of which fits very tightly. This issue is therefore completely resolved.
Some people also argue that a screw-thread base allows you to carry the hookah by the stem. However, we strongly advise against this, as the adhesive that connects the base to the stem may weaken over time. Due to the combined weight of water and glass, the base could detach from the stem, fall, and shatter.
On the other hand, plug connections offer several advantages. The first is that all plug-in hookah bases have a standardized inner diameter of 45mm. This means that if you break your base, you can easily find a replacement. There's nothing worse than having your glass base break and being unable to replace it because the manufacturer does not have one in stock.
Another benefit of this standardized diameter is that if you own multiple plug-in hookahs, you can freely swap between bases, keeping things fresh and interesting. Additionally, our plug-in base category offers a vast selection of standard plug-in bases and Caesar bases. So if you ever get bored with the look of your hookah, simply purchase a new base, and your hookah will have a completely new appearance.
A common myth is that small hookahs produce less smoke than large hookahs. This is completely false. The amount of smoke generated depends solely on the phunnel, the heat management device, and how the bowl is packed.
Small hookahs have the advantage of being easier to transport to friends' houses or events. They are also often easier to clean since the components are smaller, and with the right hookah cleaning accessories, you can reach even the tightest spots. If you have a small sink, cleaning a large hookah can be quite challenging.
If you enjoy smoking hookah while watching series or movies, small hookahs are also recommended. You can easily place them on the coffee table without the hookah obstructing your view. However, some of our customers simply prefer the aesthetics of large hookahs over smaller models.
Ultimately, the size of your hookah is a matter of personal preference, and you should primarily decide based on aesthetics. Apart from the factors mentioned earlier, there are no major drawbacks.
