ONMO Primis: the bowl for their own HMD
ONMO started with a clear idea: build an aluminium smokebox that can take on the expensive premium models without their price. That worked out, and the ONMO HMD is one of our best sellers of any kind.
The next step was their own hookah bowl to go with those HMDs. What came of it is the ONMO Primis, a phunnel made from white clay, produced in Spain and fired at 1260 degrees.

What sets the Primis apart
- Tuned to HMDs: the bowl is developed for use with smokeboxes, and the contact surface matches.
- All-over glaze: the glaze runs across the whole bowl. Molasses barely soaks into the material, the bowl is easier to clean and it bleeds less.
- Economical depot: at around 13 g the Primis is one of the small depots. A 25 g tin gets you two sessions.
- Phunnel build: the molasses stays in the depot instead of running into the stem.
- Handmade: every bowl is shaped by hand and fired at high temperature, so each piece differs slightly.

The Primis is the first and so far only bowl model from ONMO. It comes in four variants.
- Midnight: deep, dark blue
- Emerald: rich dark green
- Pearl: shimmering white
- Rock: natural stone look with a slight mint cast
Which tobacco suits it?
Thanks to the phunnel build and the small depot the Primis is broadly usable. Wet hookah tobacco does not run through, and because you only need around 13 g you can try expensive blends more often. Strong dark blend works, but it gets intense quickly in a depot that small.
Tip: with a 13 g depot, pack a little flatter and loosely. If you press the bowl right to the rim the tobacco sits too close to the HMD and gets too hot fast.
Which attachment fits?
The obvious one is their own aluminium ONMO HMD, which the bowl is built for. Every other common smokebox fits just as well though, in aluminium as in stainless steel. Aluminium foil works too.
